To learn more about Reagan click here. https://www.rmf.world Since its launch in November 2010, RMF has commenced and assisted a number of initiatives and programs to help less fortunate children in Australia, Tonga, Albania, South Africa and many other countries. Shepparton Cup! We wanted to share some exciting news from the Shepparton Cup. Our amazing team of under 8's, who were actually put together on the day of the competition, did us proud and came out as the runner's up in the Copa plate. They had an incredible weekend, and what's even more impressive is that they played most of their matches without any substitutes!! We want to give a special shoutout to Coach Jason for holding it all together. Great job, Jason! Another highlight from the tournament was our fantastic under 13's team. They dominated their matches and ended up winning the Plate without losing a single game. How amazing is that? They handled every situation that came their way and finished the tournament with a perfect record. Congratulations to the team and Coach Wes! In addition, our AFG partners achieved a remarkable victory in the Under 14's Copa title. They went up against a New Zealand Academy in the final and came out on top. Yesterday evening, we had the privilege of observing friendly matches between the @athletic_football_group AFG Academy and @westernutdfc Academy teams. As we prepare to say farewell to our esteemed colleague and Technical Director, Stan Roumpos, we would like to take a moment to recognize his outstanding achievements during his two-year tenure as Technical Director at WLFC. Under Stan’s leadership, the club has experienced remarkable growth overall, particularly in the female division, which has expanded from two teams to an impressive seven. Additionally, we have witnessed numerous players advancing to state representative teams and A-League clubs. It is worth noting that Stan has played a crucial role in the club’s expansion from 19 teams to an impressive 33 teams, encompassing both boys and girls. Stan has brought in a level of professionalism and culture within the club that is clearly seen throughout WLFC. Stan has enhanced our club’s playing style through the creation and implementation of a club-wide curriculum that includes age specific season and session plans. Congratulations to nine of our Academy players who have been selected in Football Victoria (FV) Talent Identification Program (TIDC)(Boys) for 2023. It is by far the most players represented by a single community club for season 2023, with Williams Landing FC even surpassing many NPL clubs in terms of players represented at TIDC. The Talent Identification and Development Centre (TIDC) Program is a part-time program, working with clubs to identify and develop our talented players for Victorian and Australian Representative Squads. All of the players selected from Williams Landing FC have been involved in Athletic Football Group (AFG) programs, which further enhances our partnership to develop some of the best footballers in the state. Our goal at WLFC is to give every player the opportunity to play at the highest level and we are excited to see our players consistently being recognised as amongst the best in the state. We've had the pleasure of hosting two matches against A-League Academies Melbourne City and Western United over the past two weeks. It gives us confidence that as a community club we are able to compete against A-League academies and also showcase the quality in our players, coaches and development program we have at our club. It's fitting that three former players from season 2022 played against WLFC in these teams. Jensen Gumbleton at Melbourne City, Lucas Nicolaou and Zane Nicola at Western United. We'd like to thank Melbourne City and their U14s Academy team on playing our WLFC boys last week. It was a delight to host our first ever A-League Academy team on home soil. The football being played from both sides was certainly eye-catching. We are proud as a community club that we are able to offer these opportunities for our players to test themselves against the best Melbourne has to offer.

(Continued from prior post…) There is a drive at the club to view the bigger picture of Australian Youth development and that is to give players the opportunity to play at the highest level. Our players will have more opportunities to learn, train with and play in front of more clubs this year. Since 2019, we've had 23 players identified through various means of overseas clubs. Many of who are still part of our football ecosystem with only a few deviating. This doesn't mean they'll be signing or going to Europe, what it means is that they're on the radar and have potential. It is then up to the player amd parent to take the necessary steps to improve and hopefully they can fulfil that potential. Europe experience 2022 throwback ⭐️! It was a big year for our players last season. With many of our players yet again testing themselves to learn and to continue developing this July in Bulleen, we look back at 2022. Many of our academy players trained, trialled and played in front of: PAOK FC 🇬🇷 Diósgyőri VTK (DVTK) 🇭🇺 AFC Wimbledon 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Portland Timbers 🇺🇸 West Ham United 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 GNK Dinamo Zagreb 🇭🇷 Legia Warszawa 🇵🇱 Djurgårdens IF 🇸🇪 Sutton United FC 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Millwall Football Club 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 SC Heerenveen 🇳🇱 Eintracht Frankfurt 🇩🇪 The club began with the objective to develop players to play at the highest level and even through Covid effective years, players have progressed very well with over 20 players being identified from 2013 to 2006 born players. In September/October last year, 4 x Williams Landing connected boys went on a 5 weeks trial period at 5 clubs. Those clubs being Dinamo Zagreb, Djurgardens IF, Millwall FC, AFC Wimbledon and Sutton United. The clubs are all different and have varying philosophies and curriculums to best suit their clubs' academies — and were very impressed by their technical ability and cognitive output during training/trials. It was good to know that players were in the top tier of the respective teams they were training with and the clubs would sign the players at that point, however due to rules and regulations, this is impossible for now. Each player identified now is on the radar, they have a profile and are now known to our colleagues overseas… a great advantage to have! (Continued next post…)

📣 Congratulations to 3 of our female players who have been selected in Football Victoria's (FV) Talent Identification Program (TIDC) and Skill Acquisition Programs (SAP) for 2023. The TIDC and SAP are part-time programs, working with clubs to identify and develop our talented players for Victorian and Australian Representative Squads. We at WLFC are proud to offer our talented girls these opportunities into Football Victoria's elite programs. We have seen a massive increase in our girls teams this year, rising up from 2 to 7 within 12 months! We are excited with the growth and quality of the girls coming through our program and can't wait to see what the future holds. Congratulations again to our TIDC and SAP Players for season 2023:

IberCup Round-Up ! 🇦🇺🇪🇸🇵🇹 7 of our Williams Landing FC players have just completed an intensive 10 day experience representing IberSelect Australia at the prestigious IberCup Elite Tournaments in Madrid and Cascais. Our players were exposed to high quality training sessions at Real Madrid, Sporting and Benfica. They also tested themselves against some of Europe's top youth academies including Juventus, Manchester City, Porto, Sporting, Benfica, Cadiz and Braga. We are proud to say that our boys performed very well against these top tier academies, vindication of all the training they've received at Williams Landing FC and AFG's Top Gun Program.
